Gimped yarns using metals for their conductivity or resistivity charateristics for multiple industrial applications.

Technical specifications:

  • in addition to polyesters, polyamides or glass, the choice of metallic materials making up the yarn and their treatment must take into account the need to resist oxidation…
  • the metal may be found outside the yarn as the cover or inside the yarn as the core.
  • the variation of the spaced turns and the metal used make it possible to obtain resistivities ranging from 10 to 3,000 Ohm/m.

Added value: in the event of the laminated metal being gimped around the yarn as the cover, the yarn becomes both a textile and a metallic yarn usable in flexible surfaces.
